Study Phases

Phase I

This phase includes the collection of information available from the competent authorities for the existing network of water distribution in Jeddah, this information includes the following:

1. Outlines of the network implementation by giving the lengths and diameters and the types of pipes used.
2. Locations and sizes of reservoirs on the network.
3. Positions and descriptions of the lift stations and pumps booster.
4. Positions and descriptions of counter pressure and flow and the operational status of its 5. Locations and types of valves in the network (the pressure relief valves, flow control valves, cocks expel the air, one-way valves .... etc.) and operational status.
6. To identify the operational plan of the network for different seasons.
7. See the reports of maintenance for the past years to identify areas that require frequent maintenance.
8. Data mobilization station Allowaitat (tanks) in terms of their absorptive capacity and the number and the reluctance of the tanks that are filled every day. 
  
Based on the data that is collected at this phase,

• analyze information and identify performance indicators Performance Indicators for the network based on criteria AWWA and standards IWA 

• comparing the performance of the network global networks Benchmarking.
